Year 3 visited Conisbrough Castle with Year 4 as part of our topic on the Anglo-Saxons and 1066.
They took part in a ‘Meet the Medievals’ workshop where they explored the lives of the people who lived and worked there. Pupils enjoyed investigating artefacts from the past, and discovered what life was like in a medieval castle.
The children were given time to explore the magnificent structure and its grounds. They climbed to the top of its circular keep, that measures ninety seven feet high! Everyone enjoyed the trip.
